Namaste

Although I love Europe and continually go on about how a continental way of life is so much more preferable (the fact that they drink café au lait and eat croissants everyday definitely does not influence this opinion), I cannot deny that I am a true Brit at heart. (This realisation occurred after I became swept up with all the excitement of the Jubilee Festivities.) Essentially, being a true Brit means I am perfectly justified in moaning about our complete lack of a summer due to the horrendously schizophrenic weather at the moment...you would have thought that rainbows would be present 24/7 with these current meteorological conditions/crises.
On the other hand, being a true Brit, as soon as a glimpse of sun appears, I drag all my summer clothes out of hibernation, go out ridiculously under-dressed in sheer chiffons and pleated kaftans...and take some pictures. Perhaps I unconsciously feel a need to document the precious few rays of sunshine before they disappear...?

Top and Bandeau – Primark
Pleated Skirt – American Apparel
Jewellery/Headband – Miscellaneous

As it’s entering slowly into festival season, we went for a bohemian look, and tried to create a ‘free spirit’ feel with the movement in the shots! Photography by Harriet Alderson, definitely check out her blog here.
The whole ‘yogi’ theme is very relevant at the moment, with my new pre holiday ‘detox’ involving copious amounts of green tea (Twinings’ mango and lychee Green tea to be precise) and three hours a week of yoga...all preparation for my holiday to Barcelona on Tuesday! At least there I will definitely be able to get some sun.

My Green Tea Evolution...from Clippers’ Organic, to apple and green tea, to The amazing new discovery that is Twinings’ Mango and Lychee Green Tea!

Enjoy the weekend,
Claira xo
